Market Data Connections
Connect data you are entitled to use. The platform keeps provider adapters separate from the simulator so historical teaching, CSV, IEX reference data, and future licensed sources can use the same replay engine.
Tiingo — Bring Your Own Token
Important: Tiingo's free accounts are intended for individual internal/personal usage; they do not authorize redistribution to other members or publishing shared commercial market-data content. Each member must hold their own valid account, abide by usage limits, and not register duplicate accounts to evade quotas. See Tiingo's official developer terms.
Use your own Tiingo account/API token. The token is encrypted before storage when the Cloudflare MARKET_DATA_ENCRYPTION_KEY secret is configured. The browser never receives the stored token again.
Data-rights standard
A provider connection does not give the platform permission to redistribute that provider's data to other users. BYO-token connections are used under the individual user's provider entitlement. Curated teaching datasets carry their own provenance and licensing record.
